Client wanted a feature that would help their users see the distance from other users. That would help the users determine how far or near the potential date is.
Reporting option
Since this deals with personal information and personal safety is at stake, the client wanted to have the option of being able to report an inappropriate user.
Facebook integration
It is easier to log into apps with social integration. Since this is a dating app, the requirement was for Facebook integration.
The Solutions
Location Permission
We enabled the feature by asking users for consent to use their location data. This way they will be able to see the distance between them and the potential dates, to make an informed decision about them.
In-app Reporting
For ease of use, we built an option to report a user from within the app itself rather than having to go through long processes of sending emails.
Facebook Login
We used the Facebook API key for login purpose and we also added the option of being able to use the Facebook profile photo as their dating profile.
