Product Designer Tool integration
As InstaPrint sells an array of customized products, it wanted the app to have a facility for their customers to design their own products, review the design and checkout easily.
Functionality Management
Admin wanted a control over the kind/amount of customization features that they could provide the users through the tool. It was also required to add products in different categories from backend.
User-Friendly Design and Navigation
This app had to have a user-friendly design so that customers can search and surf various products, use the customization tool, design the product, and check out with ease after they have reviewed the product.
Social Media Sharing
Social media buttons had to be added in the app to enable the customers of InstaPrint to share their designs with friends and relatives through social media.
The Solutions
Integrating Brush Your Ideas tool
Brush Your Ideas – a design software solution that enables customers to design and personalize products using images, text, clipart etc was integrated with the application. It let them use the same design on several different products.
Upload design
A ‘pop up’ notification was added to let the customers know that they can also add a design or image of their choice and upload it on the product they want to customize.
Create and Preview Design
Customers can design anything they want with the help of cliparts, readymade design templates and images. After creating the design, they can have a preview of it and check out with ease.
Save Design
An option of saving design was created for the customers so that they can use the same design for future designing purposes.
Sharing Through Social Media
InstaPrint provides with the social media buttons so that the customers can share their designs with friends and relatives through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
BYI Control Over Functionality
We provided admin with the facility to enable/disable a particular BYI functionality for different products from the backend. For eg, If they want to provide customers with limited BYI functionalities like editing, designing or colour options, they can control it enabling the customers to see only those options in the frontend.
Global Search and History
A search bar was added in the app so that the customers can easily find the product they want. They can also see the history of items they searched and can clear the history whenever they want.
